Brother!Gray x Sister!Child!Reader: part 2

~~Reader's POV~~

I live with my new big brother for two weeks now and I have never been happier. Everyone in Fairy Tail is nice to me and Wendy and I became great friends since we are the only female dragon slayers. I go often hiding with Lucy whenever a fight breaks out in the guild and she tells me stories. She even showed me her celestial spirits and I find them funny. I'm only a bit scared of Aquarius because she can be pretty mean but she seems to be kinder with me. Mirajane gets me sweets nearly every day and Erza sometimes shares her cake with me. Juvia doesn't like me that much because she thinks I steal 'her' Gray away but she only ignores me and doesn't dare to call a fight with me. I also get often in discussions with Natsu because of his stupid fights with my brother. Usually Erza interrupts us and glares at Natsu before it can get out of hand but sometimes I pretend to tear up and then he gets a glare from most of the members and some scold him because I'm just a kid. When no one is looking I stick my tongue out at him and turn back to the innocent girl when someone else turns to me. Only my big brother notice this and chuckles or smirks every time. 

He even let me go on requests with his team sometimes and despite being a dragon slayer I don't get motionsick like Natsu. The first time he questioned if I am really a dragon slayer and I teared up a bit because I wasn't lying. That earned him a punch from Erza to which he complained and I laughed at this. At first they looked at me surprised but shrugged it off. Besides Natsu of course but he didn't dare to say anything else. 

That might be the reason why he doesn't train with me the dragon slaying techniques but I don't care about it. I have Laxus, Gajeel and Wendy training with me when they have time and big brother Gray shows me how to control my element but I didn't got the stripping habit so far fortunately.

I currently sit at the counter in the guild and I'm bored as hell. Gray, Lucy, Wendy, Erza and Natsu are on a request which is too dangerous for me. I can't train with Laxus or Gajeel because they left with their teams. Mirajane is also busy with serving customers. I sigh not knowing what I could do. Suddenly Cana comes to me and suggests. "Would you like to go in the park and play hide and seek with me?"

I smile brightly at her and reply excitedly. "Yes! Of course I want to!"

She nods smiling. "Alright. I just need a few minutes to finish something then we can play. You can wait outside if you want to."

I nod vigorously and dash outside hearing the chuckles from the guild members. I pace back and forth in front of the guild slightly impatient when I hear a noise in a nearby alleyway. Curiously, I walk into it and search for the source of it. I smell a familiar scent and after recognizing it stay still for a moment shocked. Then I turn around to run back to the guild but I am hit with something on my head and fall to the ground losing consciousness. Before I completely black out I notice a voice saying. "You're not going to escape that easily..."


~~Gray's POV~~

Finally we are back in Magnolia after finishing the request. Now I just want to spend the rest of the day with (y/n) to make up for not taking her with me. Remembering her sad, worried face I walk faster wanting to see her happy smile as soon as possible. Erza, Lucy and Wendy giggle knowing why I hurry. When the guild is in sight I can't help but smile at the thought of (y/n). Ignoring the girls giggles and Natsu's groaning I continue to go to the guild quite fast. Before we can reach the guild we see many members looking around frantically like they lost something important. Cana notices us and runs to us with a worried expression. I ask her confused. "What's going on? Did something happen? Where is (y/n)?!"

She looks at me. "I'm sorry Gray but...(y/n) disappeared! She was going outside to wait for me and was only a few minutes alone but when I went out to play with her she wasn't there. At first we thought (y/n) might started to hide so I can search for her but we can't find her! It's all my fault...I shouldn't have let her alone..."

I just stand there shocked and with wide eyes. This can't be! What if something happened to her? What if...?! A hand is placed on my shoulder and I snap out of it while turning around. Flame brain looks at me serious for once. "I help you finding her. After all she is part of our nakama!" I nod at him thankfully and he continues. "I can smell her scent in the alleyway over there. Let's see where it will lead us to."

I nod again and we quickly go into the alleyway. There is a bit blood and I pale at the thought of what could have happened. Natsu sniffs the air and tells me someone else was here too. Then he follows (y/n)'s scent and I run after him hoping wherever she is, she is alive. Natsu stops after quite some time at an old house which doesn't look inviting. We look at each other nodding and burst into it breaking the door. No one is in the room but we hear a painful scream coming from the basement. I get even more worried and also very angry. We run down the stairs and break into the room where a small whimper comes from. What I see there makes me furious. (Y/n) lays on the ground chained and bleeding from several wounds. In front of her stand two people who I recognize as her so called 'parents'. They are shocked to see us at first but then the guy shout. "What are you doing here?! Get out of my house!!!"

I snap. "I won't leave and let you do whatever you want to her! You don't deserve her as a daughter!"

The woman looks at her disgusted before she turns to me. "Do you really think we want HER as OUR DAUGHTER?! She is nothing besides a life destroyer for us! It's her own fault that we punish her whenever we can!"

I ask them furiously. "How can a little girl destroy a life?!"

She replies madly. "You know nothing! We had our own guild once but she destroyed it completely! Only ruins are left! And I want my revenge no matter what!"

"That's true! We lost our guild 'Shadows Revenge' thanks to her and she will pay for this as long as she lives!" the guy adds. 

Thinking about the name I try to remember where I heard it before. Suddenly I realize it and say. "You mean she destroyed your dark guild which belonged to the stronger ones."

"And?! She will still pay for this!" Replies the woman making me even more furious.

When I am about to beat them up for what they did to (y/n) Natsu holds me back. "You better take (y/n) and bring her to Wendy immediately. I will take care of them."

I look at my sister and nod. Natsu distracts them while I free (y/n), pick her up and run up the stairs. I leave the house and hurry to our guild hoping that she won't die. I finally arrive at Fairy Tail after some time and quickly get inside. Everyone looks up when they hear the door opens and they are shocked to see her condition. Looking for Wendy I notice her standing near the rooms and motioning for me to follow her. I run up to her and we bring (y/n) into room where I lay her down on the bed. Wendy starts healing her and I go out not wanting to disturb her in any way. Walking back to the others they ask me what happened and I tell them what I know. When I finish everyone stays silent for some time. I go to a chair sitting down on it and wait for Wendy...


~~Reader's POV~~

I slowly wake up but I refuse to open my eyes not wanting to see the basement or my parents. Even though it doesn't feel like I'm laying on the hard cold floor more like a...warm and welcoming bed. Noticing that I also don't feel so much pain as I did before I blacked out I slowly open my eyes afraid of this all being a trick of my imagination. Seeing that I'm really not there I sit up and look around. No one is in here so I get out of the bed carefully and walk up to the door to go out of the room. Opening the door I see the familiar walls of Fairy Tail and quickly run to the guild hall. There I see some with worried and others with relieved expressions. Looking for my brother I spot him talking with Wendy close to me. I immediately run to him shouting. "Big brother!"

He turns around surprised and catches me when I jump in his arms. I snuggle into his chest and he hugs me tightly. After some moments some guild members start squealing happily while others just smile. After everyone calmed down Gray tells me what happened. I nod at the end and am about to ask where Natsu is when someone bursts through the door. "Hey Ice Princess! How is your sister?!"

Noticing it is Natsu I look at him confused. He then sees me and smiles while coming to us. "Seems like your fine. That's good!" Patting on my head he even adds. "It would have been boring without you, you know."

Smiling at him I thank him. I then yawn and rub my eyes tiredly. Gray and I leave the guild after saying our byes and he walks home carrying me. Sleep overtakes me and I fall asleep in his arms happy to be back with my real family.
